Money

Well, I negotiated the hospital/ER bill down by 20%. It's still over $900 that we have to pay, but 20% is 20%.

Meanwhile, the MST3K collection Vol. 9 was released today. It's around $50. Gonna be a while before we can drop that kinda cash, though - see previous paragraph. :/

It's cool that all these shows are coming out on DVD to have around. It's that "gotta pay for them" part that gets annoying.

Yeah... I remember taping a lot of shows off local TV before the cable companies moved in. Of course, tapes get old and worn out, and now they're released on DVD and they charge ya for 'em. :/

The MST sets usually run around $40-$50 for four full-length movies per set. That's still only about $10-$12.50/movie, which isn't bad, and the quality on the DVDs is way better than the tapes (no commercials, crisp transfer) but still... it's just weird to realize "Hey, I used to watch this for free or a nominal monthly cable fee."

Wow....still in the *yikes* category :-P What was the dela that the insurance isn't paying any more of it? and is the insurance worth anything, if it isn't going to cover stuff like that? :-\

sorry!!!!

Well, the insurance, turns out, is covering most of the routine small stuff like scheduled appointments. The ER is one of those cute li'l exceptions to the rule. So basically the lesson here is "don't go to the ER from now on if we can possibly avoid it."
