Important note: This makes a 3/4 lb loaf. That's the size my bread machine makes and it's just right for us. :) Most bread machines make a 1-lb or 1-1/2 lb loaf, so adjust the recipe accordingly (except maybe for the yeast, which appears to be "the right amount" for all these sizes of machines).
Honey Whole Wheat Cinnamon Bread
1/2 cup warm water (70-80 degrees)
1 tbsp butter
1-1/2 tbsp honey (I usually add more)
3/4 cup bread flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbsp dry milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2-1/4 tsp bread machine yeast (or one 1/4-oz pkg fast rising yeast)
Put ingredients in bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer and set it for "wheat". Aren't bread machines wonderful? ;)
A note about gluten: A small loaf like this doesn't need gluten added, probably because the bread flour (white variant) has enough lift on its own. I don't know if a doubled recipe would need any gluten.
