Kids, CoH, fic, tired

So last night I actually intended going to bed at 10:30. Except K woke up crying and said she wanted to sleep. (Being sick does that to one.) By the time I sorted out what was wrong, gave her some Children's Motrin Cold, tried some Chloraseptic spray on her throat (she kept saying her throat was sick), and got her back to bed, it was 11:15. Very tired me.

Then M woke up at 5:30 am (!?!) and wouldn't go back to sleep unless he was given a sippy cup of chocolate milk. Desperate for sleep, I paid the bribe. I know this will come back to bite me later, but sometimes...

Anyway. Today I'm taking the kids to the doctor, which opens at 8 am, so very shortly here I'll be getting everyone ready a little earlier than usual and heading out. Don't know yet what lunchtime will be like. Probably all the kids have is a cold, but since the weekend's coming up, better safe than sorry - M can be prone to ear infections, and I'd hate to wait until Monday if there's a real problem.

CoH: Played Boneshatter last night, and while everyone's been complaining they nerfed his AT, if anything he's more effective now than before. I'm taking on whole roomfuls of stuff and maybe using one heal. On the other hand, the automap is seriously borked - it no longer automaps until I actually turn the map on, and then it only shows what I see, like, right then. /bug! Also, the lag is beyond belief. I may just want to stay away from CoH at night for a while until it clears up.

Meanwhile, started Bone in on a couple of story arcs, then teamed with Winged Vixen, SK'd her for one of mine, and exemped down for one of hers (money....). Good teamup as always.

Writing: about 80% done with the next fic (1500 words at present). If I can finish it today, then I will. Can't say more than that right now, as I'm fully expecting to get the kids' cold too.

I think you need sleep more than writing... hope the kids are OK, and it's just colds as you suspect, but at least you'll know. Take care!

Thanks! Looks like all is well, though my folks are also getting the colds. (Eep!) It happens every time we all get together, unfortunately. My kids don't get so many colds because they don't have organized activities or daycare or preschool; bro's older one is in some kind of 2-3 times a week class or something, and she's probably picking up germs there.

I will try again to get more sleep tonight though. ;)

I've heard more people say that things are actually better for Regens after I4 so there's probably just a few people who would whine no matter what the end effect is if there is any negative.

Wildkard was on patrol last night too. Push came along to help with some Vazh and Tsoo. WK is investigating some disease they may have. (And we all know how that goes....) Maybe tonight if people are around, we can play with that. I wanna get Wildkard to 20. Stamina and a new costume....

What level is WK? Heat's still on the TF, so he can't help, and Bone would ahve to exemp down (so if Push is already exemped, it's hard to do that). Teff is 14; I could probably bring him in, albeit I'm still getting used to his AT. If he's the right level, though, or if you've got someone else who can exemp, I can bring someone in.

I'd need to be done by 10:30 though, I gotta get to sleep earlier. >_>; Yeah, I know, demanding li'l me. ;)

WK's SL 18. His security level is higher than his age. :)

Had a fun play with Push last night when he called WK "Mr. Kard". WK started laughing cuz no one calls him "Mister" since he's a teenager and Push look at least as old as he is. Push didn't know how to take the laughing and stuff.
