Huxrin's first quilting project

Still a WIP, but the bulk of it is done. She's making a Borderlands Vault logo quilt (shown here upside down because I'm on the balcony). She charted out approximately how big it had to be, figured out fabric amounts (!) and then freehand-cut all the individual pieces, row by row. There will be more black pieces on the outsides.

It's taken a few days to cut, piece, iron, sew, fix, etc and get to this stage. Yesterday she worked on it all day and after I went to bed around 10-ish. (The black "notch" in upper right is the corner of the fabric falling over the white part, it's not an actual black notch.)

The final will be a bed-sized quilt. This is all a gift for her boyfriend, and, she notes, "he'd better appreciate it." All of us who make things by hand can sympathize.
