This weekend I hope to get the garden started. I'm looking at 2 kinds of tomatoes (not sure which yet, but not cherry tomatoes this year), squash or zucchini maybe for a change of pace, and corn. Gotta have corn. Also some basil. The mint plant survived neglect, drought, winter and freezes and is still strong, so it goes in a new container and will thrive and attempt to escape from there.
The lemon tree is blooming! The back yard smells so good :) And there are bees! Bumblebees and a smaller bee, I don't know if it's a honeybee or a carpenter (native) bee. I know we need honeybees, but I also hope it's native bees, but really, all bees are good bees.
I had a picture of a big bumblebee at a lemon blossom but SmugMug is having technical difficulties so it will have to wait :(
Unfortunately for our alley squash, SOMEONE MOWED THERE! D: D: D: So on Saturday I'll see what, if anything, is still hanging on, and transplant it to a safer place (the grow boxes).
