I finished this on Feb 25 but didn't get around to posting until now. Oops!

The Arkansas block is pretty colorful! I'm glad to be able to use some of those red fabrics.

The original design had the Old Mill in or near Hot Springs; we didn't go to it, and so that part didn't have any meaning for me. So I left it out and instead put in the hills covered with trees, all the green; I remember NW Arkansas as being really, really green and forested and hilly.

But without that building, that space was empty, so I but a huge diamond in there, because we visited Crater of Diamonds State Park and panned for diamonds there. As usual with sparkly fabrics, the sparkle and shine don't show up in a still picture, but trust me, it's a sparkly diamond. I hand-drew the lines.




(When I tack it down I'll add specialty stitches etc to the edges and give the bushes some more definition.)
