Crafts for 2018

For the past 3 years I've done the UFO challenge, i.e. Unfinished Objects. And I've done very well since I can count more than the initial 12 items on every one of them, heh.

So next year I think instead of "unfinished" I'm going to have a "Projects I want to do" challenge instead.

So far I can think of:

  1. Fruit pies quilt
  2. Bethlehem/Lone Star quilt
  3. Houses quilt, though I find myself wanting to customize it instead of making it commercially accessible, like making the houses in traditional old-Florida colors like pink, yellow and seafoam
  4. Paper piecing that autumn leaves quilt, now that I kinda sorta understand paper piecing (may take practice)
  5. Postage stamp quilt (i.e. tiny blocks, not a postage design)
  6. 6 more state blocks of any kind. There are ~30 to be done, and I've completed, what, 6-7? So if I get 6 done in a year that's not bad, because an awful lot of the upcoming ones are heavy with applique, and that will take a while because of fiddly bits. (technically this is items 7-12)

In terms of stuff I would like to finish, there are two partial cross stitch items, which will take time and probably are best for travel; and the Christmas wall hanging, which at time of posting is waiting for parts, so it might not be done in time for Christmas, we'll see.
