The worst tourist traps in America

According to Business Insider. Having been to a few of these...

I've been to:

AR - Crater of Diamonds State Park
FL - Epcot. My folks like this because of the variety of restaurants there. Epcot is a few rides and a lot of shops and restaurants. Originally there was, like, 1 ride and Disney Inc realized "people want rides" so they've added more as time went on. We were very irritated when they got rid of the Norwegian myth & legend log flume ride and replaced it with Frozen. >:(
ID - Craters of the Moon (but this was, like, 20+ years ago)
PA - The Liberty Bell (ditto; I imagine it's changed quite a bit; I liked it at the time)

Stuff I almost saw:
NV - the Venetian Gondolas. I probably went past these at some point when we used Vegas as a hub for our other Southwest travels.
NM - Roswell - almost did this but determined it wasn't likely to be worth the extra day it would take to go there and stay overnight. In retrospect, I dodged a bullet.
SC - South of the Border - I remember seeing an endless parade of billboards for this when we moved from up north to Florida.

Stuff I probably could have seen but didn't:
AK - the North Pole - too far afield when we went to Alaska.
HI - Waikiki Beach - we went to the Big Island which is probably better anyway.
TX - the Alamo - it's a few hours' drive away and I just haven't had the interest to go there yet.

Stuff I don't remember if I saw it:
AZ - Four Corners - This sounds like something I would have been to at some point, if only because every year for several years my family went out West for vacations.

Stuff I have heard of:
IA - James T Kirk's future birthplace - man, that just reeks of Iowan desperation. (Which I picture as the aromas of corn dogs, abandoned farms, and... desperation)
KS - World's Largest Ball of Twine - HERESY! The Biggest Ball of Twine is in Minnesota and is THE ball of twine to see!
NY - Times Square - isn't that, like, porno theaters and hookers and muggings? Am I thinking of the right place?
SD - Wall Drug - thanks to MST3K
TN - Graceland - well duh. Who hasn't heard of Graceland?

Honorable Mention:
MO - Nuclear Waste Adventure Trail and Museum - I want to know more about that just because of the name.

I've been to Four Corners, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Magnificent Mile, Bourbon Street, Faneuil Hall, the Venetian gondolas (but didn't ride them), South of the Border, Graceland, and I think the Gum Wall, if it's what I'm thinking of in Pike Place Market. I might also have been to Times Square.

Some of these are definitely on the "don't go out of your way" list but others, I'm not sure.

I protest - my Da worked for Rock of Ages(VT) and my brother lives in Roswell(NM)!

I've done CA, HI, FL, NY(theatre district now), VT, PA and TBG's been to Mall of the Americas.

Snicker - your comment of James T. :P

Don't get me wrong, I love Trek TOS. Not so fond of any of the others. I just feel like, Iowa really doesn't have much else to trumpet, but... future birthplace of James T. Kirk? I looked it up btw, it's definitely "only if you're in the area".

I don't know if I'd even do that...
