The feeling when

the coldest shower the pipes will allow is more soothing and relaxing than any bubble bath experience could hope to be, when it's heat index 100 out there (33 C? I forget) and humid and you want the world to stop being on fire

And we were so cold last night. We went from 70 to 57 in less than fifteen minutes. It even hailed. So weird. *hugs* and I will send you cool thoughts.

Right now I would *love* 57. We had a mild winter and we didn't have a big mosquito die-off as a result, so they are *everywhere* and in force. That and all this heat... and we're not even at the worst part of the year yet. Ugh. Thanks. :)

Ours are out in force as well, mostly because we got so much rain this past winter. I'm not fond of the little buggers.

Ugh, I know what you mean. I don't know how many more summers in my state I can take. :( We're having a very lovely cold front move through right now, though. I dearly wish it would stay. If the heat would just back off every few days and stay down for longer than twelve hours or something stupid, summer might be more tolerable.

You're in Utah, right? The humidity here doesn't help either. We need to run the AC nonstop. I can see why people keep even the big dog breeds inside.

Yeah. We have dry heat most of the summer, but it gets a bit humid in August. Humidity makes my lungs feel like they're going to collapse. Neither kind of heat is good. We're too poor to run the AC overnight, and I can't even have my window open because my uncle goes outside and smokes at all hours. I don't want to breathe in that $#!& in my sleep, thanks. So I have to attempt sleeping in an 80 degree room. :( I do have a ceiling fan at least, but it's noisy.
